Tara Collette (she/her) has been handcrafting distinctive fabric banners at the Mill since 2017. Over the years, her bold style has earned her recognition, with commissions from notable clients including Patagonia, Camden Town Brewery, and Albert’s Schloss.
Specialising in bespoke pieces, Tara focuses primarily on commissioned work for weddings and for hospitality venues across the UK, where her banners serve as bold, eye-catching interior design features (if you’ve ever been to Nell’s, you’ll know exactly what we mean).
In 2023, she held her first solo exhibition at HOME Manchester, unveiling a new body of work exploring themes of social justice, class, and gentrification – issues deeply rooted in the Greater Manchester area.
Outside of her practice, Tara creates stained glass artworks and volunteers as a bird surveyor for the RSPB.
