Well done Makers for your hard work.

// This year, Xmas at the Mill has moved out of its usual small venue space in the Mill to a much bigger space at Unit 4 Regents Trading Estate. That means more food and drink, and more art, prints, clothing, bags, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, and much more for your stockings. See you on 6 December from 4 till 9pm. More info next week…

// Mill artist Jane Lawson joins a group show at Castlefield Gallery, opening 16 November. The Ground Beneath Your Feet is part of With One Voice International Arts and Homelessness Summit & Festival. International artists utilise film, sculpture, demonetised currency, political campaigns and fungi to nuance conversations around the present political tragedies of our time.

Ongoing…

// Bustling timetable of creative workshops from Salford Makers, check what’s on offer.

// Until 1 December: new ambitious large-scale work and 3D sculptural accompaniments by Emma Talbot at Caustic Coastal (check event page for opening hours).

// Islington Mill Art Academy is our free peer-led art school. Anyone who wants to be an artist can join. Each fortnight the Academy hosts a public session followed by a potluck dinner (bring your own dish to share if you like!) Sessions are free to attend and are a great way to find out what the Academy is all about. Next session is 21 November, read more here.

// Finally, impaTV will screen Willie Stuart’s Ludo Is Fantastic on 29 January (venue announced soon). Ludo Mich is the outlaw/underground Antwerp artist who has created his own world via cross performance for half a century. This film brings a unique insight into this living anti-legend. Unmissable for art and film fans alike. ‘It is his curse to be an outlaw, always.’  Enjoy the trailer…
