FLATPACK RESIDENCY

Flatpack is a collaboration between Michael Cutting , Joe SnapeKaj Duncan David and Danielle Dahl, created during an intensive week-long residency at Islington Mill, Manchester. Playing a handful of shows in key sites for new music including Copenhagen, Aarhus, Manchester and London, the group presents a kind of ‘flatpack’ theatre: an entire show assembled, performed and disassembled over the course of the hour-long performance itself. The work is immersive, quietly theatrical and highly intimate: live electronics and sound recordings are offset by saxophone and percussion, while reel-to-reel tape machines duet with silent actions, amplified objects and simple lights.
